COULD THIS BE A HOAX OR REALITY AND WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF BLACK PARENTS GIVING BIRTH TO A BLOND CHILD

As i spoke with folks i realise that so many folks think this is a hoax as a black couple from Nigeria, residing in Britain, recently stunned everyone when the wife gave birth to a white, blue eyed, blonde baby girl.

The father, Benjamin Ihegboro, admitted he was shocked when he first saw his baby. He said he asked his wife if the baby, who was named Nmachi, meaning “beauty of God,” was his. He later said he was joking, of course, and knew she was his. “Even if she wasn’t” , he said, “she wouldn’t look like this!” Mom Angela said, “She is beautiful, a miracle baby.”

The doctor who delivered little Nmachi, says she is not an albino, as some have suggested. She doesn’t have the white hair and pink eyes, traditional traits of albinos. Benjamin and Angela Ihegboro, have two other children, who are dark skinned like their parents.

Genetic experts in London are baffled by the birth. One such expert, Professor Bryan Sykes, head of human genetics at Oxford University, exclaimed, “ The birth is extraordinary…In mixed race humans, the lighter variant of skin tone may come out in a child and this can sometimes be startlingly different to the skin of the parents.”

Professor Sykes added that the Ihegboros had to have some form of white ancestry for this to happen. However the couple claimed not to have any such ancestry.

In 2006, another British couple, this time both biracial, gave birth to twins girls, one white and one black. Kylie and her partner Remi Horder, 17, both have white mothers and black fathers.
