T.I is to wed long-term girlfriend Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle in a low-key ceremony in Hawaii this weekend.
The 29-year-old rapper – real name Clifford Harris, Jr. – began dating Cottle in 2001 and always stated his desire to marry the former Xscape singer – referred to as Tiny by pals due to her diminutive 4’11” stature – later this year.
T.I and his imminent bride travelled to Hawaii earlier this month and close friends and family have been flown in for the big day.
The wedding marks the end of a difficult year for the rapper, who was released from Federal Correctional Facility Forrest City in Arkanas back in December after serving 7-months of a possible 12 for firearms offences.
It’s understood the promotional video for recent single ‘Got Your Back’, in which a fiancée sticks by her man after he is incarcerated, is dedicated to 35-year-old Cottle.
The couple have two children from their nine year relationship – boys Clifford ‘King’ Joseph III and Major Philant.
